This procedure removes the part of the stomach that produces hunger signals, which helps decrease the patient's appetite. Patients may lose 70–80% of their excess weight.
For severe obesity and metabolic syndrome, the clinic offers Gastric Bypass. Performed laparoscopically, this surgery creates a small stomach pouch and connects it to the small intestine to limit food intake and nutrient absorption. It is often a preferred method for patients with Type 2 diabetes.
Non-surgical options include Stomach Botox and Gastric Balloons.
