AFTER COMPLETING MY COMPULSORY SERVICE IN ERZURUM, I WORKED IN DÜZCE ATATÜRK STATE HOSPITAL BETWEEN 2021-2022. Dr. Tumay Ipekci is a Urology Specialist and Professor. He practices at Memorial Şişli Hospital. He is also a faculty member at Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Medicine, Division of Urology. Dr. Ipekci has worked at Başkent University and VM Medical Park Maltepe Hospital.

He has published 64 articles in national and international journals. He has given 36 presentations at scientific congresses. Dr. Ipekci is a member of the European Association of Urology (EAU), Turkish Urological Association, and the Turkish World Transplantation Society. He serves on the editorial boards of Urology Research and Practice and the Mediterranean Medical Journal.

Dr. Suleyman Ayvaz is an Associate Professor in Pediatric Surgery. He has performed many successful pediatric surgical procedures. Dr. Ayvaz is known for his work in minimally invasive techniques. He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has received several national and international accreditations. Dr. Ayvaz is also dedicated to teaching and mentoring young surgeons.

Prof. Dr. Ayla Güven graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1986 and completed her mandatory service at Ege University Chest Diseases Bornova Tuberculosis Dispensary. Following that, she started her specialization training in the Department of Child Health and Diseases at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and became a specialist in 1993. After working as a specialist physician, she began her subspecialty training in Pediatric Endocrinology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in September 2000 and became a Pediatric Endocrinology specialist in December 2002. In April 2003, she started working as an assistant professor at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine and worked in the Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Department at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, USA, between May and November 2003. After returning to Turkey, she continued to work at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine. This clinic was the first to offer Pediatric Endocrinology subspecialty training in the country. During her time there, one person became a Pediatric Endocrinology specialist. On March 13, 2006, she successfully passed the exam and received the title of Associate Professor. Since December 2006, she has been working at Göztepe Training and Research Hospital. In this hospital, she was appointed as the head of the Pediatric Endocrinology clinic in November 2008 and started providing Pediatric Endocrinology subspecialty training for the first time in the hospital in March 2009. Between 2009 and 2017, she trained five Pediatric Endocrinology specialists. Most of the physicians she currently provides subspecialty training to have gained academic titles as professors and associate professors. After working as a training instructor at Health Sciences University Zeynep Kamil Hospital for Children and Women from 2017 to 2021, she retired at her request from public service. Between 2021 and 2024, she worked as a Pediatric Endocrinology specialist at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child Health and Diseases, at Istanbul Hospital.

Prof. Dr. Nesrin Sarıman graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (English) in 1990 and completed her specialization in “Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis” at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital. She worked at Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine Hospital between from 2004 till 2022, obtaining the titles of associate professor and professor. Her primary areas of interest include; Obstructive Lung Diseases (Asthma-Allergy, COPD), Sleep Disorders (Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome), Lung Cancer, and Smoking Cessation Treatments. She is a bronchoscopy specialist and sleep physician. She has published articles in national and international journals and has authored book chapters. She participated in a multicenter international clinical study on asthma. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses and supervised master’s theses. She has served as a member of the Clinical Research Ethics Committee. She holds memberships in national and international associations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she actively participated in COVID-19 services. During her years at Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine, she undertook numerous administrative and academic roles, including serving as the editor of “Maltepe Medical Journal” and as the assistant dean from 2019 till 2022. She participated in certified training programs organized under the Ministry of Health GETAT applications at Medipol University in “Functional Medicine” and “Phytotherapy” and completed training in “Hypnosis Application Training”

Prof. Mustafa Sağlam, M.D. graduated from Marmara University School of Medicine in 1994 and has specialized in Endovascular Repair of the Aneurysm of Abdominal Aorta, Stress Test for imaging the Coronary Artery Diseases, Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring, Holter Test, Balloon Valvuloplasty and Temporary Pacemaker. He is currently the Head of the Cardiology Department in Hisar Hospital Intercontinental.

Dr. Serhat Seyhan is a medical genetics specialist. He is the Head Physician at the Genetic Disorders Evaluation Center, Memorial Şişli Hospital in Istanbul. He has also led genetic evaluation centers at Biruni University Hospital and Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital. Dr. Seyhan chaired the Department of Medical Genetics at Istanbul Medipol University.

He completed his medical genetics training at Karadeniz Technical University. He earned his MD from Cumhuriyet University. Dr. Seyhan gained international experience as a short-term scholar at the University of Miami. He is known for his leadership in clinical genetics and his academic work in the field.

Dr. Emrah Ugurlu is an experienced ENT specialist. He focuses on rhinoplasty, revision nose surgery, blepharoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, head and neck surgery, and vocal cord diseases. He graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his ENT training at Dokuz Eylul University.

Dr. Ugurlu has published articles in respected journals, such as the Turkish Archives of Otorhinolaryngology. His work has helped advance care in pediatric rhinosinusitis, ossiculoplasty, and hearing aid outcomes. He is a member of the Turkish Ear Nose Throat and Head and Neck Surgery Foundation, Istanbul Medical Chamber, and Facial Plastic Surgery Association.

Op. Dr. Yasemin Ongun is a specialist in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) and Head & Neck Surgery. She graduated from Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. In 2008, she completed advanced training in Otology-Neurotology, Audiology, and Head and Neck Surgery at Hacettepe University.

Dr. Ongun has worked in both public and private healthcare settings. She served at Şanlıurfa Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital and held the position of deputy chief physician in private hospitals. She has performed many surgeries, with a focus on rhinoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, pediatric ENT procedures, otoplasty, and hearing-related operations.

Dr. Gokhan Ertas is a Professor of Cardiology with more than 20 years of clinical and academic experience. He has published 52 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He has also contributed 3 chapters to national and international books. Dr. Ertas has presented 20 papers at international meetings and 25 at national meetings. He is dedicated to advancing cardiovascular medicine.

He is a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, and the Stem Cell and Cellular Therapies Association. Dr. Ertas is recognized for his academic work and active role in the global cardiology community.
