Доктор Ердал Отман — офтальмолог і офтальмохірург із понад 35-річним досвідом. У 1980 році закінчив Медичний факультет Джеррахпаша Стамбульського університету. У 1986 році завершив резидентуру з офтальмології в цьому ж закладі.

Його клінічна спеціалізація охоплює хірургію катаракти (факоемульсифікація та імплантація сучасних інтраокулярних лінз). Надає медикаментозну й хірургічну допомогу при глаукомі. Лікує захворювання сітківки та склоподібного тіла, зокрема відшарування сітківки, макулярну дегенерацію та діабетичну ретинопатію. Займається патологією рогівки й виконує рогівкові операції, зокрема лікування кератоконусу, трансплантацію рогівки та втручання на передньому відрізку ока. Також проводить рефракційну хірургію, зокрема лазерну корекцію короткозорості, далекозорості та астигматизму.

Д-р Мехмет Орчун Акдемір є членом Турецького офтальмологічного товариства. Опублікував 24 статті в міжнародних рецензованих журналах, багато з яких індексуються в SCI/SCI‑E. Має 17 публікацій у національних рецензованих журналах. Зробив 5 доповідей на міжнародних конференціях.

Його робота зосереджена на рогівці та передньому сегменті ока. Напрями: кератоконус; DALK, PKP і DSAEK; біомеханіка рогівки; крослінкінг рогівки. Також вивчає хірургію глаукоми після кератопластики, захворювання поверхні ока й псевдоексфоліацію, нейроофтальмологію та сітківку. Долучився до перекладу 4 книг з офтальмології. Його дослідження порівнюють результати DALK і PKP при кератоконусі, аналізують біомеханіку після DALK, оцінюють товщину трансплантата після DSAEK і порівнюють трабекулектомію з клапаном Ахмеда при глаукомі після PKP.

Доктор Кегін є досвідченим офтальмологом із понад 30-річним стажем роботи, виконавши понад 50 000 операцій і є автором понад 50 національних і міжнародних статей і наукових публікацій.
