Він закінчив наукову середню школу в Анкарі та пройшов інтернатуру з внутрішньої медицини в лондонській загальній лікарні Ілінг, а також обов’язкову службу лікаря загальної практики в Сіірті в 1984-1986 роках. Потім він закінчив ординатуру в лікарні Хайдарпаша Нумуне, відділення радіодіагностики, і закінчив Університет Анадолу, факультет ділового адміністрування. Отримав звання доцента та професора за спеціальністю променева діагностика, опублікував 47 статей, з яких 14 за кордоном і 33 вітчизняні. Зараз він працює деканом медичного факультету Університету Малтепе та керівником відділу радіології, а також є членом Турецької радіологічної асоціації, Асоціації медичного зображення та інтервенційної радіології.
