Dr. Calderón Álvarez-Tostado is a graduate of the Medical Surgeon program at the Universidad Panamericana. He completed his specialty in General Surgery at the General Hospital of Mexico "Dr. Eduardo Liceaga", a nationally renowned center with a high volume of patients. Subsequently, he pursued advanced training in Endoscopic Surgery and Bariatric Surgery at the General Hospital "Dr. Manuel Gea González," an internationally recognized institution for its contributions to minimally invasive surgery. He is an Associate Researcher at the Institute for BioNanotechnology in Applied Medicine at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, where he also completed clinical rotations in Gastroenterology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He has served as a faculty member at the Universidad Panamericana and as an invited professor at medical conferences in his specialty. He is the author and co-author of numerous medical articles in national and international journals and has presented his work at national and international medical conferences in the specialties of general surgery, endoscopic surgery, and obesity surgery. He is certified by the Mexican Council of General Surgery (CMCG) and is a member of the Mexican Association of General Surgery (AMCG), the Mexican Association of Endoscopic Surgery (AMCE), the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), 1 the Mexican College of Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Diseases (CMCOEM), Sociedad Médica Dalinde, and the Sociedad Médica Grupo Angeles.
